About The Prindle School
The Prindle School is a music school in the Pioneer Valley of Massachusetts offering OnSite and OnLine private music lessons, classes, and ensembles.. We have over 40 faculty members offering music lessons on all instruments and voice in three convenient locations, as well as virtually via Zoom. Our faculty have a wealth of experience delivering exactly the right program of lessons for each individual client: young children as they begin their music journey, highly dedicated professional musicians, adult learners who hope to bring more joy into their lives, and everything in between. Our owners, Dan and Michelle Prindle, have 50 years of combined experience in music education. Dan holds a Ph.D. in music theory from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and also teaches music theory and ear training at Williams College. Michelle holds a Bachelor of Music degree in Voice Performance from the Hartt School at the University of Hartford, is a Certified Waldorf Early Childhood Educator, and is currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in voice performance at the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
Meet Our Baritone and Euphonium Faculty
Brendan Goodwin
Brendan Goodwin is a musician and educator originally from Connecticut. He earned a B.M. in Music Education at Keene State College in New Hampshire. Goodwin studied piano under the instruction of Dr. Richard Mueller in Willington, Connecticut, and played brass instruments in school. While at Keene State College, he studied euphonium and trombone under Dr. James Chesebrough and Dr. Joshua Long. He taught as a public-school music teacher for several years in New Hampshire and was the music director for elementary schools in the Gateway Regional School District for one year. He currently provides instruction in piano, voice, brass, and music theory and the Prindle School.
