About The Prindle School
The Prindle School is a music school in the Pioneer Valley of Massachusetts offering OnSite and OnLine private music lessons, classes, and ensembles.. We have over 40 faculty members offering music lessons on all instruments and voice in three convenient locations, as well as virtually via Zoom. Our faculty have a wealth of experience delivering exactly the right program of lessons for each individual client: young children as they begin their music journey, highly dedicated professional musicians, adult learners who hope to bring more joy into their lives, and everything in between. Our owners, Dan and Michelle Prindle, have 50 years of combined experience in music education. Dan holds a Ph.D. in music theory from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and also teaches music theory and ear training at Williams College. Michelle holds a Bachelor of Music degree in Voice Performance from the Hartt School at the University of Hartford, is a Certified Waldorf Early Childhood Educator, and is currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in voice performance at the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
Meet Our Basoon Faculty
Diane Lipartito
Diane Lipartito, bassoonist, received her BA in music performance from Rowen University, where she studied with Lawrence Stewart. She also worked with Philadelphia Orchestra members Kathleen White-Vigilante and Ferdinand Del Negro, and later with Arthur Weisberg at the State University of New York at Stony Brook, where she earned her MM in music performance. Her interest in music improvisation led her to pursue studies with David Darling and Bill Schontz. Currently principal bassoonist with the TUNDI Productions opera orchestra, the Windham Philharmonic and both principal and second bassoon with PanOpera, she has also played principal bassoon with the Pioneer Valley Symphony, the Commonwealth Opera and the Williamstown Theatre Festival along with playing both principal and second bassoon with The Keene Chamber Orchestra and Raylynmor Opera.
